The Seattle Office for Civil Rights is proud to support a back-to-school event alongside our community partners and the Department of Education & Early Learning for the community of Skyway.
When: Saturday, August 27
Time: 11am – 3pm
Where: 12620 Renton Ave S. Seattle, WA 98178 (the parking lot of the Law Offices of Cleodis Floyd)
What: Thanks to our many community partners and sponsors, we’ll be giving away:
- 500 backpacks with school supplies.
- Free food from C. Davis BBQ.
- Free haircuts from J Styles Barbershop, Mo’Stylez Barber & Salon, and Paul’s Custom Cuts from 11am – 3pm for kids ages 5 – 18 with school ID.
- Free t-shirts from Dominick Jones clothing’s Stop Bullying campaign.
- Tools for parents from Ace Academy to support youth success.
No registration for this event is needed. All items will be first come, first served. By attending the event, you agree and/or consent to have yours and your children’s likeness in photographs and social media posts for the Seattle Office for Civil Rights.
