Now Hiring! Senior Racial Justice Trainer

The Seattle Office for Civil Rights is hiring a Senior Racial Justice Trainer to steward training and racial equity education for the Race and Social Justice Intitiative (RSJI).

The Senior Racial Justice Trainer will play a key role in advancing racial equity within the City of Seattle. They will facilitate RSJI trainings and revise the existing training curriculum. This is an opportunity to innovate new ways of sharing anti-racist knowledge within a government setting.

We’re looking for somebody who can engage with audiences of any size, virtually or in person, using a trauma-informed approach. The Trainer will navigate difficult conversations about racism with people of all identities and backgrounds.

A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of racial equity and social justice, anti-racism, and institutional racism. This understanding should include an intersectional view of gender justice, disability justice, and other considerations for the City of Seattle’s 18 protected classes.
